What is Modality?

Modalities, also known as Quadruplicities, are the categories of how the signs express their energies and relate to the seasons.

Types of Modality

Cardinal

Intiative

Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn

Cardinal signs are the intiators of the zodiac, and they signify the beginning of a new season. These signs are natural born leaders, gifted with the drive and discipline to bring a manifestation into reality.

Fixed

Determined

Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius

Fixed signs are the maintainers of the zodiac, and fall in the middle of a season. These signs are charged with ensuring things keep going down the desired path. They are blessed with the endurance to see things through, and their strong determination ensures the job or the journey gets done.

Mutable

Flexible

Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, Pisces

Mutable signs are the conclusion-ists of the zodiac, and they wrap up each season. These signs are made to be flexible, as they must adapt to change in order to usher in new things. They are given the ability to adjust, and help ease others through the transition.

Understanding the modality of each zodiac can help you get a better sense of how and why they opperate. Modality gives us the ability to gauge how a zodiac might operate, as well as a deep sense for what drives them.
