The Sun’s Astrological Significance

The Self

The Sun represents the eternal self that didn’t start in this physical realm. This part of your soul has existed long before your incarnation here and surfaces in every day life as the ego. The Sun is your main expression of self, the heart of your core being; how you identify yourself. Which sign your natal sun is in tells of your drive for significance, your power to do and be, your will. This is your vital energy, the fuel on which the personality runs. The placement of the sun in your natal chart tells of your chief ambitions, your dignity, confidence, loyalty, and fortitude.

The Sun can also represent male relationships in the females charts, particularly one’s relationship to the father.

Section References

A lot of the information in this section comes from my own personal experience and higher channelings, but I used one main source to fact check myself and fill in any gaps in my knowledge. I have been working with this book for years and I’ve found it to be one of the most concise and straightforward works on Astrology to date. This section wouldn’t have been entirely possible to create without the accompanying works of Isabel M Hickey and her book Astrology: A Cosmic Science.
