Aigokeros
December 21st - January 21st
The “I Use” energy of the zodiac, Capricorn steps onto the scene to utilize all that Source has learned through it’s journey through the stars. Ruled by Saturn, Capricorn has the discipline to get the job done, and to get it done well.

Dignities
Domicile:
Saturn
This is a comfortable, familiar transit. Saturn rules over the zodiac of Capricorn, so when these two are paired up they’re able to use their energies effectively, like its second nature. This transit will amplify the effects of both energies.

Exalted:
Mars
When Mars is in Capricorn, these two energies are able to express themselves with great power and vibrance. Mars is driven, and Capricorn is focused and disciplined, and together they’re able to put their logic and passion to fantastic use and conqure anything before them.

Detriment:
Moon
This is an uncomfortable placement for the Moon because it is the essence of emotions, and it wants to be vulnerable enough to share them, while Capricorn prefers emotional control and resistraint. The inner world isn’t Capricorn’s priority and it would rather focus on what’s in front of it than what’s going on beneath the surface. When these two mix it makes for complications in energetic expression, but that isn’t always a bad thing as it can teach us expansion in different areas.

Fall:
Neptune
When a planet is in Fall placement it is considered to be its weakest expression. In this case, that is because Neptune is spiritual, perfering the mystic side of life and wanting to expereince all of it, while Capricorn is practicle and prefers structure. Capricorn is an earth element and it likes to be grounded, but Neptune is all “head in the clouds” energy. With this placement there is a constant push and pull for power, which results in little forward movement of energies.

Universal Standpoint
With Saturn ruling Capricorn, it feels the constant pressure of time. Capricorn is driven to complete things, and it knows that time management, focus, and discipline are the only way to do that. If you look at the zodiac like a journey that Source takes, then perhaps Capricorn knows its running out of time, with only two more zodiacs for Source to move through before the journey is over.

Myths of the Capricorn Constellation
Capricorn is associated with Pan’s attempt to escape Typhon, the storm beast that threatened all of the Olympian gods. Pan was a centaur, and when he dove in the Nile river to evade Typhon, his bottom half transformed into a fish tail, but his upper half was still human with goat horns. It is said that Pan then warned Zeus, who put the sea goat into the sky as a sign of gratitude.

A lot of the information in this section comes from my own personal experience and higher channelings, but I used one main source to fact check myself and fill in any gaps in my knowledge. I have been working with this book for years and I’ve found it to be one of the most concise and straightforward works on Astrology to date. This section wouldn’t have been entirely possible to create without the accompanying works of Isabel M Hickey and her book Astrology: A Cosmic Science.
