Exalted:

 Uranus

An Exalted placement can be the best expression of energies. Uranus is the planet of innovation and change, and finds power in Scorpio’s transformative energies. When paired, this two can really shake things up.

Detriment:

Venus

This is an uncomfortable placement for Venus because its gentle, tender nature can struggle to handle the intense control of Scorpio. When these two mix it makes for complications in energetic expression, but that isn’t always a bad thing as it can teach us expansion in different areas.

Fall:

Moon

When a planet is in Fall placement it is considered to be its weakest expression. In this case, that is because the Moon can struggle emotionally in Scorpio’s intense depths. The Moon represents the inner world, but Scorpio is the deep dark depths of the Shadow Self beneath the surface. With this placement there is a constant push and pull for power, which results in little forward movement of energies.

Myths of the Constellation Scorpious

Orion was a great hunter, but his arrogance was his downfall. He had boasted that he could kill any animal on Earth, and this angered Gaia, the Goddess of the Earth. Gaia sent a scorpion to kill Orion, and when it succeeded she placed it in the sky as a reward, opposite of Orion so that they would never be seen together again.

A lot of the information in this section comes from my own personal experience and higher channelings, but I used one main source to fact check myself and fill in any gaps in my knowledge. I have been working with this book for years and I’ve found it to be one of the most concise and straightforward works on Astrology to date. This section wouldn’t have been entirely possible to create without the accompanying works of Isabel M Hickey and her book Astrology: A Cosmic Science.
